Google is testing a left sidebar for AI Mode directly on the main search results page, giving users one click access to chat history, a new chat and AI Mode settings. The sidebar had previously only appeared after a user clicked the AI Mode button, so this test could put AI conversation one step closer to being the default search experience.
Why it matters to multifamily marketers
If this ships, apartment hunters could drop into an AI conversation faster than they land on a property website or Google Business Profile, so marketers should make sure listing copy and location pages read well as AI source material.
